For the covers of our sketch books we use 14pt card stock which is smooth, bright white and coated (eggshell finish) and made in Canada. It’s perfect for reproducing rich, vibrant colours. It’s very popular for prints from acrylic, oils, and digital art. Acid Free. Environmentally certified paper.

Weight of book: 105 grams

Actual Size w/binding: (6.25 x 5.25 or 5.5 x 6)

Can be printed landscape or portrait.

Production Process

• Design & Layout – Template design $25
A Template Design includes a full bleed front layout, and the addition of your name, contact info, and thumbnail on the back. Once the books are designed we send out PDF proofs for you to review and confirm all spelling and make sure the content is correct. There is also the option to custom design the front or back with any information you like.

• Printers Proofs $20 per design
Once the designs and text copy are proofed via PDF, we will print off a physical proof of the front and back cover design. We will have the press proof ready at the shop or we will mail them to you for approval. These proofs are filed along with your archived digital files to make sure that all repeat orders are colour consistent (our specialty).

• Printing
Sketch books pages are processed and ripped through our state of the art EFI Splash colour server for excellent critical colour reproduction and repeatability on our digital press. We pay close attention to image quality and colour consistency for every order. Not only can we get the colour right, we can reproduce it time and time again.

• Cutting & Binding
We cut your books to size on our precision hydraulic cutter.  Each books is then bound with a metal ‘o’ ring coil binding.
